Blake Shelton officially kicked off his special drive-in theater concert series. On Friday, July 25, the country star debuted the unique event, which featured Trace Adkins. Gwen Stefani also joined Blake onstage to sing their duets “Nobody But You” and “Happy Anywhere,” among other tunes.

The following day, the “Hollaback Girl” singer shared her gratitude in a sweet Instagram post. She accompanied it with a clip of herself belting out the No Doubt cover of Talk Talk’s “It’s My Life” with Blake on guitar.

“Thank u to everyone that [came] out to our first ever drive in show last night,” she wrote. “@blakeshelton and i had so much fun seeing all your posts! gx.”

Fans immediately took to the comments section to share their love and support for the couple. What’s more, those who attended gave their thoughts about the one-of-a-kind experience.

“It was so amazing 😍😭 I’m so glad that I was able to go,” one person wrote. “Great evening under the stars ✨... thanks for a safe fun experience in a time of Covid!” another added. “It was such an awesome show!! Loved the combination of your songs with Blake's. 💕,” a different fan said. “Thank you for the show we love u so much ❤️❤️❤️,” a follower commented.

But it doesn’t seem like everyone was on board with the song selection. “This is so disrespectful. You're not No Doubt. You should sing only your solo songs. God 🙄,” one person said. “Not the same without the boys,” another wrote. “Country isn’t your tea kid,” a viewer added, perhaps referring to Blake’s Instagram post.

Well, whichever side you may agree with, it’s a fact that Gwen and Blake always give memorable performances.
