Plus-size model claims rapper Future banned 'fatties' at club appearance — and now she's pursuing legal action
Future is having an online war of words with a plus-size model who claims she was banned from a Miami nightclub due to the rapper’s “no fatties” rule. She’s now pursuing legal action against him.
The Canadian model, Naomie Chaput, who goes by Nao, told Buzzfeed News she was in the city for a photo shoot and later headed to the club Story with a friend. However, on the way there, she was told by the club promoter, who arranged for her to go, “Don’t even bother coming. Future asked for no fatties,” her publicist told the website.
@fashionnovacurve set, in my bag.💞

Nao shared the story on social media, explaining, “It’s not that I wanted to see Future personally, because I don’t give a damn about no f***ing rappers. But it’s the fact that it’s a thing in 2019 where we can say ‘no fatties in the club.'” In another story, she said the promoter told her that Future, who made his appearance at Story on Feb. 28, made the request himself — and makes the request whenever he’s there.
Future — whose exes include Ciara, with whom he shares a son — didn’t comment to Buzzfeed, instead taking to Twitter to seemingly deny Nao’s claims. (Yahoo Entertainment has also reached out to a rep for the performer and will update our story if there’s a response.)
STOP CAPPIN ON MY NAME..I love all women 👑.

Nao also contacted Future privately via Instagram — she said in hopes he would apologize or denounce the club, if it was to blame instead — and she later posted this claiming it was their exchange. Basically he called her a liar. “You lied on my name,” he wrote. “You should’ve said Story told you that s**t.”
He called what she did, making her story public, “evil.”
Nao’s rep said she’s now pursuing legal action against Future and secured a Miami law firm. The spokesperson didn’t elaborate on their plans.
Future has faced online backlash over the incident and was told to “do better.”
Idk. Just like you don’t like “fatties”, I don’t support assholes.

Guess I cant see you in concert anymore because I'm part of fatties too, right? So since you said you love women, then have them play in your next video?

Then disassociate yourself from the club who plainly told a plus sized model “no fatties”. You’re acting ignorant but you know better. Do better.

Well, it’s Friday and now Future is cancelled and deleted from my music library.
Had a whole club deny entry to plus size women… smmfh. pic.twitter.com/hkwJn4a9Lj— Big K (@bigkstone) March 1, 2019

However, others are criticizing Nao for seeking legal action against the star — and hope he pursues legal action as well.
Whoever told her the no fatties part, owes her an apology but looking for legal action against Future is wrong.

Can't wait to see Future counter Sue for her lying on him. https://t.co/vjLRgWsvkQ

How can you sue someone for them saying something that you HEARD through a friend?! Nao openly admitted she was not at the club to hear Future or the club promoter say this first hand. This is stupid https://t.co/PcmybsN21o

This isn’t the first public spat Future has found himself in. When his engagement ended with Ciara in 2014 — she went on to marry Russell Wilson two years later — they had a very public war of words, which continues, to a lesser degree, to this day.
