This pop star just wore a bathrobe on the red carpet and people have mixed reactions

Little Mix‘s Leigh-Anne Pinnock took quite the fashion risk at the 2018 Brit Awards Wednesday night, quite reminiscent of Rita Ora‘s shocking style moment at the 2017 MTV Europe Music Awards. Just a few months ago, all eyes were on Ora as she stepped onto the red carpet in what seemed to be a look meant only for the bathroom. But with lots of bling, including on her pumps, she made a bathrobe and a hair towel a look for the evening.

Now, Pinnock seems to be giving the ensemble a go, with a similar style of dressing gown dressed up with some different details. Instead of Ora’s fully terry-cloth robe, Pinnock went for something a little sheer and seemingly better fit for the occasion. However, some fans aren’t convinced.

Unlike Ora, who changed into a different look for onstage performance, Pinnock continued to rock the noteworthy look while presenting alongside her three other bandmates. The way that she owned the look is one of the many reasons her fellow Little Mix singers call her the “fashionista” of the group.

All in all, people might be coming around to the idea that the singer actually pulled it off — which her dreadlocked updo, blingy hoops, and white pumps might have helped. But we’ll just have to wait to see who tries the comfy look next.
