Pop-up store takes the former Williams-Sonoma spot at Bradley Fair

There’s a new pop-up store in the former Williams-Sonoma space at Bradley Fair.

Lynne Bischoff opened Fenway Goods & Gifts over the weekend.

“It’s kind of a curated collection of everything I love,” she said.

That includes gourmet food, women’s apparel, seasonal decor, purses, furniture and outdoor entertaining items.

“It’s really hard to put me in one category,” Bischoff said. “If I see something I love, I pick it up.”

The store is just around the corner from Cocoa Dolce. It’s named for Fenway Park in Boston, the city where Bischoff went to college. Her school, at 400 The Fenway, was close to the stadium.

She and her husband are former East Coast residents who lived in Tulsa for 24 years where they had a similar business.

That business was called Fortnight Home Accents & Decor, which opened before Fortnite became a popular video game.

“The game came into play, and it ruined my name completely,” Bischoff said.

She still uses Fortnight in her LLC name, so as delivery drivers have stopped by her place at Bradley Fair, they have asked questions such as, “So you having gaming here?”

“It was a wise decision to change the name,” she said.

Bischoff and her husband moved to Wichita to be close to their daughter and her family. Bischoff said they’d already been visiting Wichita for about a decade and now have lived here for two years.

Bradley Fair management suggested she first try the store as a pop-up.

“It’s a great idea to see if we are a good fit with the community, which I think we will be,” Bischoff said.

She plans to host special events at the store and partner with nonprofits on fundraisers.

In a statement, Bradley Fair marketing manager Amanda Stiebens said Fenway is a great addition and that the center is “dedicated to collaborating with and nurturing businesses, whether they are seeking their first storefront with us or opening their tenth location.”

“Working alongside Lynne to realize her vision has been a delight, and we’re confident that both Wichita locals and visitors will share in our excitement.”

The store will be open at least through the end-of-the-year holidays.

Bischoff said she’s grateful for the reception she’s received in just a couple of days.

“It’s been incredible.”
