Popeyes Has 2 New Limited-Time Menu Items

Popeyes loves to change up its menu—and we’re always more than happy to embrace the change. Between the boneless wings in six different sauces and the revolutionary TRUFF Chicken Sandwich, those guys are always offering up something new and downright delicious.

This month, Popeyes is venturing beyond its typical savory options and putting a spotlight on the sweet side of the menu with two new decadent treats.

Popeyes New Chocolate Chip Biscuits & Apple Caramel Cheesecake

Popeyes may be known for its fried chicken and biscuits, but the fast food chain also knows a thing or two about sweet treats. Last year, Popeyes launched its first-ever sweet biscuit, a limited-edition strawberry biscuit, Following the treat's success, another flakey dessert biscuit is coming to the menu.

Meet your next Popeyes obsession: the Chocolate Chip Biscuit. The new item "combines the beloved flavors of its iconic Buttermilk Biscuit with delectable chocolate chips into one delightful treat," the brand shared in an email. The signature soft, buttery biscuits are studded with rich chocolate chips and topped with a drizzle of icing to make for an extra-indulgent breakfast, snack, or dessert.

That’s not the only sweet thing happening at the fast food chain this month. Popeyes is also launching a new Apple Caramel Cheesecake, which sounds like the perfect way to welcome the fall season.

This super-rich and creamy cheesecake is swirled with a caramel apple filling and baked into a classic graham cracker crust, making for the ultimate creamy, buttery, fall-flavored bite.

Both the Chocolate Chip Biscuits and Apple Caramel Cheesecake are available nationwide starting August 5 at participating locations, but only for a limited time. So, if you're already needing to satisfy your fall sweet tooth, don't hesitate to hit the Popeyes drive-thru.

A British lawmaker has joined campaigners calling for a cornerstone of Cockney cuisine, pie and mash, to be given protected status as a distinct traditional food. Conservative legislator Richard Holden led a debate in Parliament’s Westminster Hall on Tuesday calling for the Traditional Speciality Guaranteed label for the dish: a pie filled with ground beef, accompanied by mashed potatoes and doused in a parsley sauce known as liquor. Holden, who represents the Basildon and Billericay constituency east of London, said he wanted “to celebrate and really promote pie and mash, which has spread out from its beginnings in central and east London, down the Thames Gateway and out into the world.”
