Popular chicken wing chain returning to SLO with new spot. Here’s where
The wings are back!
Wingstop, which shuttered its previous downtown San Luis Obispo location more than two years ago, is planning to return to the city with a new spot on Broad Street.
Signs posted on the window of the 3840 Broad St. business on Tuesday declared the restaurant was “Coming soon!” A specific opening date was not posted on the window, and the chain’s website did not have information on the new location.
Other tenants in the shopping center include Old SLO BBQ Co., Vons, Planet Fitness, Pizza Republic, Jersey Mike’s, Starbucks and more.
The fast-food wing joint specializes in a wide variety of flavored traditional and boneless wings as well as the usual French fry and veggies sides.

There is currently one other Wingstop in San Luis Obispo County, located at 1144 W Branch St. in Arroyo Grande. The chain also has two locations in Santa Maria at 1848 Broadway and 560 Betteravia Road.
