Pregnant Alex Morgan Shares a Peek at Her Baby Boy's Ocean-Themed Nursery as She Says He Should Arrive 'Any Day Now' (Exclusive)

Alex Morgan is putting the final touches on her baby's nursery as she gets ready to welcome her newest little one.

The retired soccer star, 35, who is pregnant with her second baby, has partnered with Babylist to design her baby boy's nursery. Morgan, who also shares her daughter Charlie, 4, with husband Servando Carrasco, tells PEOPLE that her family leaned into the things they loved most when designing their son's new space.

"We wanted to stay on theme with what we love — the beach, the waves and sun," Morgan tells PEOPLE. "There's really nothing I wished was different or more! We do have a balcony...so the next thing would be sprucing that up as I'm sure baby and I will appreciate some fresh air and ocean breeze."

As for what she loves most in the nursery, the former professional athlete admits she can't choose just one thing.

"I love the dark wood crib that really compliments all the other wood tones. The surfboard above the crib is such a fun detail!" she says. "The ocean-themed curtains and the lime wash paint with wood panels on the wall."

Morgan is set to welcome her little one in just a few weeks and notes that her entire family is ready to welcome the baby boy.

"This all came together right at 38 weeks, so definitely cutting it close! He should be here any day now and I've started slowing down in life to prepare for all the changes to come in the next week or so," she explains.

"Our daughter Charlie absolutely loves the way her little brother's room is decorated and wants to help organize clothes and diapers anytime I'm in there."

Back in January, Morgan spoke with PEOPLE about creating her registry with Babylist and shared that her daughter Charlie is excited to become an older sibling.

"She wants to kiss my belly every day, say hello to baby brother every morning, say good night to him every night in my belly," Morgan explained. "She always wants her hand on my belly to feel him, so she does definitely understand, and it's nice having almost a five-year age gap because I feel like she will be a little more understanding of a situation."

"She'll be my little helper when taking care of baby boy," she added.

She also shared how excited she is to be welcoming a baby boy, telling PEOPLE she and her husband were "ecstatic."

"We were extremely ecstatic," she shared. "I was happy with either a boy or a girl, but I think my daughter was very excited to have a brother and not have a baby sister in the future be stealing all of her clothes as I have done with my sisters growing up because I'm one of three girls."
