It’s the one thing parents claim they miss most after welcoming a new baby to the family – quality time with their first born.
The 30-year-old “Younger” actress recently shared a sweet snap of her six-year-old son and herself on Instagram. In the photo, Duff, clad in a black bikini, and Luca relax on a pool recliner.
Her daughter will be Duff’s second child — and her first with boyfriend Matthew Koma. She had Luca with her ex, Mike Comrie.
After six years of buying for a boy, Duff told Ryan Seacrest she is looking forward to welcoming a girl.
“I was so nervous beforehand because I thought for sure I was going to have a boy… I have a boy already, which would’ve been great and I’m obsessed with Luca, but I don’t know, I just wanted one of each… It was funny that I cared so much,” she told Seacrest in an “On Air” segment in June.
“My sister [Haylie Duff] has girls, and I feel like I’m really girly. But for the past six years I’ve bought monsters and trucks and planes, and Luca’s into all the boy stuff, so everything’s blue and green, and I was just ready for pink and purple stuff.”
Tthe soon-to-be mom-of-two is no stranger to spreading body positivity online.
Last month, Duff was praised by her followers for sharing a very real post about the struggles of pregnancy, and accepting her growing body.
And since becoming a mother, Duff has opened up about her body more than ever before. This past summer she shared a paparazzi photo, showing off her “flaws” and told shamers to “kiss [her] ass” – and in 2015, she posted an empowering mirror shot, telling moms everywhere that “we still got it.”
With almost 10 million followers on Instagram, Duff continues to spread her messages of body positivity — encouraging women to feel good whether they’re pregnant or not.
