Prince William's 12th Anniversary Gift to Kate Middleton Was Very Sparkly and Sentimental

Prince William and Kate Middleton just celebrated their 12-year wedding anniversary, and if you're feeling nosy and immediately need to know what they got each other, we have official intel.

According to an insider who spoke to Us Weekly, William gave Kate two gifts (one simply won't do), both of which were super sentimental. First up? Wills wanted to “surprise Kate with a family heirloom” and gave her “a stunning diamond ring that belonged to [his late mother], Diana.” No word on what the ring looks like, but hopefully we'll get a chance to see her wear it soon? Like, maybe at the coronation?

On top of that, William gifted Kate "a replica of the bouquet of flowers that she walked down the aisle holding on their wedding day—to symbolize their love, unity and friendship.” Cute!

As for what Kate gave her husband, the insider said she “put her artistic skills to good use and surprised William [with] a framed sketch of the two of them from an old photograph taken during their St Andrew’s years. He was blown away by it!”

This is all obviously all very charming, but a source also recently told Us Weekly that Kate and Wills do deal with rough spots in their relationship, like any couple:

“No marriage is perfect, including Kate and William’s and they’ve certainly had their ups and downs over the years. They bicker like most couples and have recently been under pressure dealing with the drama surrounding Prince Harry."

Apparently, the couples' "marital struggles have also been heightened" by "nonstop" royal duties, but “regardless of the obstacles, the couple always pulls through " and "they’re in a marvelous place in their lives and squeezed in some valuable time together to mark their 12th anniversary.”
