Renzell Releases a Preview of Its New Ratings

When Renzell launched in the fall of 2015, it brought a new restaurant ratings system to New York City. Now it's done that in eleven cities across the country.

This week the service released a preview of its 2018 ratings, all of which are based on a proprietary algorithm and comprehensive reviews from its 12,000 members across the country.

Along with hosting events at its restaurants, what separates Renzell from other ratings like Michelin and Zagat is that the roughly 600 restaurants eligible for review are vetted and scrutinized before they are visited by Renzell members, who then grade them on 32 specific criteria, from the quality of the cocktails to the strength of the service.

"We’re excited to release a taste of what our Official 2018 ratings will look like for the prestigious list of Renzell Restaurants," says founder Bo Peabody. "It's moments like this - we we get to share the data we collect and pour over throughout the year - that make us thrilled to be a part of the dining world."
