Richard Hammond says ‘we saved best for last’ as Grand Tour trio look back on 22-year career
Richard Hammond believes he, Jeremy Clarkson and James May have “saved the best to last” with The Grand Tour finale.
The TV presenter made the comments during an extended Q&A at BBC Television Centre ahead of a preview of the final episode of the trio’s Amazon Prime show, titled One For The Road.
Ahead of the special airing on Friday 13 September, Hammond, Clarkson and May looked back on their 22-year career working together.
The trio reminisced on stories from the early days of Top Gear in 2002, through to shooting their final special in Zimbabwe last year.
“I think we’re all in agreement, [Zimbabwe] is probably the most beautiful place any of us have ever been,” Clarkson said.
“You could argue we saved the best until last,” Hammond added.
