Rock Hill diners asked for a new breakfast spot. Now it’s open, with plenty on the menu
You just want bacon and eggs, but your buddy wants a brunch spread he can post online for all his influencer pals. Now, there’s no need to choose — you can get both.
First Watch promises the traditional and the trendy with its newest restaurant in Rock Hill.
“We take our food very seriously,” said Andy Paschal, president of a First Watch group that has 15 restaurants across the Charlotte metro, Greenville and Columbia. “We say we like to serve ‘Instagram-able’ food that tastes great.”
The Rock Hill spot at 2320 Cherry Road opened Tuesday. It joins the Len Patterson Road restaurant in Fort Mill, near Tega Cay, as the farthest south locations in the Charlotte area.
“It was definitely the next growth spot, but we also have a lot of folks that come into our Fort Mill location that come from Rock Hill,” Paschal said. “They’ve been asking for a while for us to open in Rock Hill, and we wanted to accommodate them.”
Bradenton, Florida-based First Watch is open 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily with a full menu the whole time.
There are pancakes, waffles, sandwiches and salads. They have several colorful juice options, plus iced coffees like mint mocha and honey caramel crunch. Other choices include four types of eggs benedicts, omelets, frittatas, breakfast tacos, super foods bowl and power wrap.
First Watch, named for the nautical term signaling the day’s first shift, has more than 530 restaurants in 29 states.
