Sangita Patel is keeping her fans updated after a recent health scare.

On Wednesday, the Canadian TV host, 44, took to Instagram with a selfie from a hospital bed paired with a candid caption on her surgery to remove a suspicious lump on her thyroid.

"I feel like a marshmallow! I would say this is the best selfie I've taken even though it looks like I took a good southpaw hook," she began.

Patel explained she felt nervous because her surgery took longer than expected."Surgery took [four] hours, eek, rather than two. It made me nervous that there was more involved, but it went really well. Now, we wait for the pathology report."

She thanked the hospital team — especially nurse Layna, who lightened her mood, and her surgeon, who put her "at ease" before the procedure.

"Thank you to the incredible team at Toronto Western you took such good care of me from the moment I arrived to leaving," she penned.

Patel revealed her surgeon used an innovative advanced procedure called TOETVA (Transoral endoscopic thyroidectomy vestibular approach) performed through the mouth rather than the neck.

"He is the only Canadian doctor who does the TOETVA," Patel noted.

Ending on a positive note, Patel shared her hopes for a quick recovery so she can get back to the gym and enjoy a burger.

"Hope to heal quickly, hit the gym, have a Big Mac," she concluded.

In the comments, fans met Patel's post with well wishes.

"You got this girl! Speedy recovery!," one person wrote.

Another Instagram user added: "You are an inspiration to so many. You are a joy and bring me joy! Get well soon."

"Praying for a smooth speedy recovery with the best pathology results!! The world needs you back in action!," a fan commented.

Earlier this week, Patel shared a candid video of herself in her car, "freaking out" after discovering the lump in her neck that was previously declared "benign" back in July was, unfortunately, "still growing."

"I went to go get a biopsy it was benign, thought everything was fine, and then I noticed it was still growing," Patel said. "So I went to go see a specialist and heard exactly what I didn't want to hear: the lump is suspicious."

"I'm freaking out a little bit. OK — I'm freaking out a lot, as a mother," she added.
