The Duchess of York looked gorgeous as she turned on the glamour to attend a gala celebration in Cologne, Germany on Monday night.

Sarah Ferguson, 59, posed for an Instagram photo in her black floor-length gown with gold embroidery and a semi-sheer bodice. She accessorised with a satin clutch bag and beaded drop earrings, with her red locks styled into loose waves.

“Great fun to be joining my friend @hermann_buehlbecker for his annual party in Cologne,” she wrote in the caption.

Hermann Buehlbecker is the Chief Executive of Germany biscuit manufacturer Lambertz.

Last week, the Duchess took to social media to encourage her 167k followers to support Street Child’s ‘Count Me In’ campaign, which aims to provide more children with access to education.

She posted alongside an emotive video: “Do you think it’s acceptable that there are 121 million school-aged children around the world who aren’t in education? I don’t. Please help us end this scandal.”

Sarah became a Patron of Street Child last year, after she merged her charity foundation Children In Crisis with the organisation.

She was a proud mother of the bride in October 2018, as her youngest daughter Princess Eugenie married her long-term boyfriend Jack Brooksbank at St George’s Chapel in Windsor.
