My hands have seen their fair share of damage from box-cutting, from both the blades and the cardboard. Not so with the ZipSnip. One five-star reviewer uses this for the same exact reason why I bought one: biweekly recycling pickup. "Our town only picks up recycling every other week. This really hinders at times our ability to recycle all the things because boxes build up," they said. "Even though we break things down, this tool helps in really taking everything apart with ease. Little effort goes into completely taking hard diaper boxes down to super flat pieces. It has completely changed the way we are able to recycle."

Another five-star reviewer found the recharging time to be excessive. "To recharge after a good usage of the tool requires five hours to a full charge before you can get working again, that is with the default [charger] that comes with it."
