SC has 5 of best fine dining restaurants in US for 2024, Tripadvisor says. Here’s why they’re great

South Carolinians don’t need to travel far for top tier fine dining experiences.

The Palmetto State has five of the 25 best fine dining restaurants in the U.S. for 2024, according to Tripadvisor’s annual Travelers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best Restaurants. The awards showcase top-ranked eateries in the U.S. and globally, based on more than 1 billion reviews and contributions.

The awards are broken down into categories, such as best casual dining, best fine dining and best dog-friendly restaurants. Restaurants are ranked based on high volume of above-and-beyond reviews and opinions from the Tripadvisor community over 12 months. Out of 8 million listings fewer than 1% win these awards, Tripadvisor states.
