Scarlett Johansson sizzles in a strapless red gown at the Venice Film Festival
Scarlett Johansson is taking the 76th Venice Film Festival by storm.
Days after she was declared the highest paid actress in the world for the second year in a row, the 34-year-old star flew to Italy to promote her latest film, “Marriage Story.”

Johansson arrived on the red carpet of the film’s premiere channeling Jessica Rabbit in a sequinned red strapless gown by Céline. Johansson’s hair stylist Davy Newkirk opted for slicked back hair to create a fashion forward look, while makeup artist Franke Boyd used Tom Ford beauty products to create a bronze smokey eye.
Starring alongside acting heavyweights Adam Driver and Laura Dern, Johansson revealed that she relied on her personal experience for the film which follows a couple through a breakup.
“I was actually going through a divorce,” she told press of her first meeting with director Noah Baumbach. “I didn’t know what we were going to talk about...I just kind of blew into the room, ordered a glass of wine and started complaining [about the divorce].”

Johansson was married to French journalist Romain Dauriac from 2014 to September 2017. The couple share a five-year-old daughter, Rose.
Although warned ahead of time by Baumbach that the role might be difficult for the actress, Johansson said she felt she was “fated” for the part.
“It was an experience to share with him and have him share with me,” she explained. “And it somehow came at just the right time.”
