As one of our go-to sustainable shoe purveyors, Rothy’s always curries our favor with their sleek and stylish shoes that honor both classic traditions and of-the-moment trends, and the brand’s latest spring drop has us ready to splurge.
Earlier this month, Rothy’s debuted The Boat Shoe—a seaside-centric style that delivers a refreshing, sustainable update to the nautical silhouette. In addition to a signature blue and white hue we often associate with the enduring style, The Boat Shoe also features a fun, feminine palette of pink and shimmery sand, as well as neutrals like tan and cream. It’s a versatile loafer you could easily pair with distressed denim and a crisp white button-down for a classic summer look that’s equal parts preppy and chic.
And girls aren’t the only ones who are embracing coastal vibes with this latest release; Rothy’s has also dropped a men’s boat shoe called The Ravello Boat Shoe that marries the familiar boat shoe design with a sleek, sporty twist and Rothy’s signature eco-friendly materials, including recycled plastic bottles and natural hemp.
As with all Rothy’s footwear, the new Boat Shoes are sustainably designed with recycled plastic water bottles (each shoe is made with about 11 bottles!), natural hemp, and cotton. They’re also machine washable to keep stains and odor at bay.
