This morning, Buckingham Palace confirmed that Princess Beatrice married her fiancé Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi ("Edo" to his friends). The two have known each other for years, but began dating roughly a year ago. They announced their engagement on September 26, via the Palace's social media accounts.

Their wedding was initially scheduled for May 29 at St. James's Palace in London, but was postponed last spring because of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the Palace, Mozzi proposed to the princess in Italy earlier in September 2019, with a ring he helped design with British jeweler Shaun Leane. "Yes, it was Edoardo and I collaborating in the design," Leane told T&C. "I believe bespoke should be a fusion of the designer and the emotions, memories and details of the collector."

Lane also shared some detailed images of the ring:

The couple seem thrilled to make their announcement last fall. “We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement," reads the couple's statement. "We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to actually be married. We share so many similar interests and values and we know that this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness.”

The bride's parents, Queen Elizabeth's son Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, shared their delight as well. "We are thrilled that Beatrice and Edoardo have got engaged, having watched their relationship develop with pride. We are the lucky parents of a wonderful daughter who has found her love and companion in a completely devoted friend and loyal young man. We send them every good wish for a wonderful family future."

The sweet color engagement photos of the couple were taken by Beatrice's sister, Princess Eugenie, and one shows a closeup of the bride's new ring (above).
