It's been a busy week for celebrity events. From the British Fashion Awards and the Hollywood Reporter's Women in Entertainment Gala, to the Gotham Awards and a Middle East film festival, red carpets have been full of fashion gold.
Some of the best looks over the past several days came from A-list icons like Selena Gomez, Demi Moore, Hoyeon, Leomie Anderson and Jessica Chastain. On the other hand, stars including Rita Ora, Lily-Rose Depp, Nicole Kidman, Emily Blunt and Kathy Bates left lots to be desired with their outfits.
Below, we want to hear from you, Yahoo Canada readers: Who were the best and worst-dressed celebrities of the week? Scroll on to read more about some of the top and bottom red carpet looks recently, then cast your vote on which stars should win each title this week.
BEST DRESSED: Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez went prim and proper for the Hollywood Reporter's Women in Entertainment Gala on Wednesday. The 32-year-old actress attended the Beverly Hills, Calif. event wearing a black and white off-the-shoulder dress from Self-Portrait. The piece featured white ruffled trims along its long sleeves and neckline, as well as gold buttons and pockets resembling a coat.
WORST DRESSED: Rita Ora
An edgy look is always something to rave over, but Rita Ora's ensemble for the British Fashion Awards on Monday is pretty much what you'd see if you asked an AI image generator to create "queer Donald Trump."
The 34-year-old singer wore a baggy grey '80s-style suit jacket from Primark, which she currently has a collection with. It was paired with a pink tie, white striped shirt and dark grey baggy trousers. But the real standouts in the look were a variety of metal rings, bracelets and large curly earrings, as well as a bleach blonde mullet.
BEST DRESSED: Demi Moore
Demi Moore has been turning our elegant look after elegant look, and the outfit she wore for this year's Gotham Awards on Monday simply added to that collection. The 62-year-old actress looked ageless in a dark purple gown from Dior, which featured an off-the-shoulder strap and cowl neckline. It was accessorized with a shining silver necklace that perfectly complemented the dreamy gown.
WORST DRESSED: Lily-Rose Depp
Lily-Rose Depp might've had the right intention with the Chanel look she wore for the Nosferatu U.K. premiere on Wednesday, but it unfortunately fell flat. The 25-year-old actress wore a couture look that closed the fashion house's fall/winter 2020 collection. The piece featured a shawl-like collar and a panelled skirt that fell to her calves. It was complete with a multi-coloured jewel and gold crucifix on the bodice.
BEST DRESSED: Hoyeon
Hoyeon has done it again on a red carpet, proving she's somewhat of a new fashion icon. The 30-year-old Squid Game actress wore a dramatic custom look from Louis Vuitton for the Red Sea International Film Festival on Thursday. The art-like piece featured asymmetrical one-shoulder moment, as well as a double-layered skirt with a structured mid-piece that flared out at the hips.
WORST DRESSED: Nicole Kidman
Someone needs to get to the bottom of whatever's happening between Nicole Kidman and her recent hair choices, because the look she wore for Monday's Gotham Awards is almost inexcusable. The 57-year-old actress borrowed a black floral Dolce & Gabbana archival dress seen in season four of Sex and the City that's fine fashion-wise. However, the Queen of AMC Theatres deserves better than the stringy hairstyle she was given.
BEST DRESSED: Leomie Anderson
Leomie Anderson blended art and fashion for the British Fashion Awards on Monday, wearing arguably one of the best looks we've seen in recent months. The 31-year-old model's white dress — an Iris Van Herpen fall/winter 2023 couture look — featured a flowing design with numerous wavy elements that resembled flower petals.
WORST DRESSED: Emily Blunt
Emily Blunt is so stunning she can typically turn out any look, but the Tamara Ralph look she wore for the Red Sea International Film Festival on Thursday would be hard for nearly anyone to make look good. The 41-year-old star's long-sleeve gold dress featured numerous sequins, a thigh-high slit and a black ribbon moment featuring several bowties.
BEST DRESSED: Jessica Chastain
Divine as always, Jessica Chastain wowed on the red carpet at the Gotham Awards on Monday. The 47-year-old actress wore a white halter-neck dress from Gucci for the event, a piece that featured a gold neckline and an open back. The ensemble was complete with platform heels and a wispy, flowing hairstyle.
WORST DRESSED: Kathy Bates
It's hard to call out the icon that is Kathy Bates, but the look the 76-year-old actress wore to the Hollywood Reporter's Women in Entertainment Gala on Wednesday was busy and questionable. Her ensemble was inspired by menswear, featuring a black leather jacket, biker gloves a pink shirt and red striped tie. The touch of femininity with the hot pink Hermès bag is a nice touch, though.
