Actress Selma Blair has documented her battle with multiple sclerosis (MS) on Instagram ever since she was diagnosed in August 2018. She's shared everything from her treatments (including chemotherapy) to her symptoms and how its impacted her son Arthur. And she's also shared her good days and triumphs.

Over the weekend, Selma shared some more of the good—and a health update for her followers. On Instagram she posted two pictures of herself riding (and jumping) with her horse.

"Getting back on my horse ❤️ It is what I miss the most about my current abilities or disabilities. But today, we managed to get it together to have a few minutes and I could not stop smiling," she wrote in her caption.

Although she said she couldn't feel her left leg and her hips were frozen, she was still able to make it work. And she also talked about how she did her best not to criticize herself for how long it took her to do it.

"We took it slow. I didn’t criticize my equitation too much. I am a mess with MS. I was told I would be jumping in a year when I was first diagnosed. I believed and have had shame I haven’t pulled through for the rest of us. I will always have MS, I now see. Always. But I am going to learn how to use this body, brain and emotions," she wrote.

Selma also shared that she hopes she can someday get back to showing, and that she finally has some hope.

"I am overjoyed. My trainer @kjrides with @cellardoorequestrian has turned nibbles into a champion babysitter for me. So back in the saddle it is. Keep finding ways to do things. I have hope. Thank you all. Especially Celeris and Cellar Door Farm to keep encouraging me to try again, in style. ❤️," she ended her post.

Her friend Kristin Chenoweth commented, "Take it slow. But go. And keep doing it. I'm smiling seeing this!! What a great day! You are back on the horse girl!"
