Series of repair cafes offer to help fix 'anything'
A series of repair cafés are being arranged in Medway offering help and advice on how people can fix "anything".
The free sessions will take place once a month from September and run until March.
Each session offers access to tools and materials, although Medway Council says additional materials might need to be ordered by attendees.
The council said: "There's no need to book, just turn up with your broken item."
The initiative was launched last month with an event at Luton Library focused on bike repairs and school uniform alterations.
Visitors to the repair cafes can bring along their broken items from home, including toasters, lamps, hair dryers, clothes, bikes, toys and crockery.
The next session is on 28 September at Strood Community Hub.
The sessions run from 10:30BST to 13:00.
