Sip on this, Napa Valley: USA Today crowns Boise wine tour company as best in U.S.

It’s no secret that Idaho has become a not-so-hidden gem for wine lovers.

And now a Boise business has grape-stomped all challengers in a USA Today poll — for the third straight year.

Snake River Wine Tours, 1020 W. Main St., ranks No. 1 as “Best Wine Tour Company” in the 2024 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. Nominees were chosen by experts, whittled down by editors, then voted on by readers.

“Located less than an hour from Boise, explore the Sunnyslope Wine Trail, known as ‘The Heart of Idaho Wine Country,’ with Snake River Wine Tours,” USA Today writes. “Excursions include visits to up to four area wineries with award-winning wines and unique tasting experiences. Snake River’s special relationships with the local wineries ensure that guests enjoy a ‘one-of-a-kind’ wine tour experience.”

Other wine tour companies in the top 10 hail from places ranging from Napa, California, and Newberg, Oregon, to Asheville, North Carolina, and San Antonio, Texas.

Despite all the competition, Snake River Wine Tour Company knew it had a fighting chance for what it called a “THREE-PEAT.”

“Thank you to everyone who’s taken the time to vote over the past month!” it wrote on Facebook recently. “We were up against the best in the business, from East Coast to West Coast! What an honor!”

Now it’s time to pull out a corkscrew and celebrate.

Offering a three-van fleet, Snake River Wine Tours describes itself as Idaho’s “premier wine tour operator.” Passenger groups of 10 or more are private. Smaller groups become a shared experience with your new wine-sipping friends.

“With an experienced tour guide,” the company says on its website, “you and your guests can relax and safely enjoy the wonderful wines that our region has to offer.”
