For The Masked Singer season 6, a nocturnal creature is stepping into the spotlight for their big moment. The Skunk has been unveiled as part of The Masked Singer 2021 roster and fans have wasted no time in starting to brainstorm who could be hiding underneath the glamorous disguise. Details here and there have been shared, and now it's time to see if your guess is in line with what others are thinking.
Who is Skunk on The Masked Singer?
First, let’s take a look at the clues we know:
Skunk is wearing a form-fitting black dress with black-and-white fringe detail and a white faux-fur collar. The performer also has a 1920s platinum blonde hairstyle with a vintage headpiece adorned with black feathers and mesh.
Skunk accessorizes the look with long black gloves, four diamond bracelets and a diamond necklace.
Skunk has green eyes, red lips and a mole on the left side of their face.
The Skunk says they've been to "the most epic parties around" but now is focused on their family and other responsibilities.
Skunk loves trains and in one clue package holds a ticket that reads, "Depart: Seoul, North Korea"
In different clue packages, we see a vase with the letter "D" on it, books (titled U.S. Government, Big Book of Acting, Iron Out Your Swing, and Expect the Unexpected).
Skunk is buddies with Puffer Fish (who, spoiler, was revealed to be Toni Braxton).
Based on that and the Skunk's killer vocals, judge Ken Jeong thought at first it could be Taraji P. Henson. Jenny McCarthy guessed Queen Latifah, while Nicole Scherzinger thought it could be Tamar Braxton. Now that we have a bit more clues, though, here is the top theory from the internet at the moment:
Multiple sites are convinced that Faith is the number-one suspect. Why? Well, remember that vase with the letter "D" on it? Some link that clue to the fact that Faith is a producer of R&B Divas: Atlanta. Secondly, there's the Elvis hint — Elvis, of course, is commonly referred to as "The King" and Faith helped release the collaborative album The King & I in 2017. Then there's the Seoul reference on a train, which could point to the time Faith was honored at the Soul Train Awards. Need more convincing? Just compare the vocals between Skunk and Faith in the Youtube video above. Yeah, we think we've made our point.
