Starbucks Adds New Spicy Lemonades — and Announces All Drinks Are Buy One Get One Free on Thursday

Three Spicy Lemonade Refresher flavors — dragon fruit, pineapple and strawberry — are part of the buy-one-get-one-free offer on Thursday, April 18

The weather is heating up and so are Starbucks's newest drinks.

Starting on Tuesday, April 16, customers can try several spicy additions to the coffee chain’s menu with the Spicy Lemonade Refreshers and spicy cream cold foam.

There are three flavors of the Spicy Lemonade Refreshers — dragon fruit, pineapple and strawberry — and each gets its heat from combining a spicy chili powder blend with lemonade. The Spicy Dragon Fruit Lemonade Refresher also incorporates mango and dragon fruit flavors and dragon fruit pieces; the Spicy Pineapple Lemonade Refresher has pineapple and passion fruit flavors and pineapple pieces; and the Spicy Strawberry Lemonade Refresher combines strawberry and acai flavors and strawberry pieces.

If you’re looking to customize your typical coffee order with a kick, the spicy cream cold foam might be a fit for you. Starbucks cold foam is mixed with the same chili powder blend that the Refreshers have to add some heat to any iced beverage.

To celebrate the limited-time spicy drinks, the coffee spot is offering buy-one-get-one-free promo on Thursday, April 18. Rewards members can score any beverage and get another one free from noon until 6 p.m. Customers can find the promo in the Starbucks app when ordering online or by asking a barista to apply it during an in-store checkout.

Starbucks has been all about new flavors this spring. In March, the chain introduced lavender flavors to the menu with the Iced Lavender Cream Oatmilk Matcha, Iced Lavender Oatmilk Latte and the Lavender Créme Frappuccino.

Similarly to this week’s spicy additions, Starbucks also added a lavender cream cold foam to menus.

You don’t need to choose between botanical or tangy drinks this week, both will be available for the BOGO deal on Thursday.

If you can't wait until Thursday for a freebie, then Krispy Kreme has a pick-me-up for you on Monday. For Tax Day, April 15, the donut chain is handing out buy-one-get-one-free deals for a dozen donuts. Customers who purchase an Original Glazed or assorted dozen box can buy a second Original Glazed dozen for just the sales tax price in their state.
