The calendar has flipped from 2024 to 2025, and if you are looking to start your new year with a cup of coffee or some breakfast food, you're in luck.

That's because most grocery, retail and restaurant chains will be open on New Year's Day, albeit some with adjusted hours. Most will also be open on New Year's Eve.

If you are looking for a caffeine boost on Jan. 1, Starbucks could be an option for you. Many locations will be open, but the coffee chain's hours vary by location, meaning some stores may have reduced others while others could be closed on New Year's Day.
