Starbucks' Second Winter Menu Just Leaked—And This Popular Drink Is Getting A Major Upgrade
If your big New Year's resolution is to drink less Starbies then you might want to pump the brakes because Starbucks is allegedly making big changes to its menu starting as early as January.
According to a leak from the popular food account @markie_devo, run by food blogger Mark Vayntraub, Starbucks is dropping new menu items and tweaking old favorites as part of its Winter 2024 Part 2 menu, which he says will drop on January 2.
Among the new additions, Vayntraub says fans can expect the Cortado and the Brown Sugar Oatmilk Cortado. Described as a "higher profile espresso," the Cortado is made using three ristretto shots of Starbucks Blonde Espresso and steamed whole milk.
And it isn't just coffee lovers who'll have reason to celebrate in January: per the leaked menu, Starbucks will begin using a new matcha powder that is completely unsweetened. They'll also be implementing a new technique that requires baristas to make iced matcha lattes by blending them instead of shaking the drink. That means smoother, silkier lattes for you!
In perfect time for chilly January temps, Starbucks is also reportedly bringing the heat with their all-new Spicy Falafel Pocket. This vegan option features smashed falafel, creamy hummus, roasted red bell peppers, pickled onions, and spicy herb sauce wrapped inside a toasted lavash flatbread. Keeping things fiery is the new B!tchin’ sauce Chipotle Almond Dip, which can be paired with the Spicy Falafel Pocket.
Lastly, Vayntraub says customers can look forward to a new Blackberry Sage Refresher this Valentine's Day. He says the fruity new drink, along with the Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Creme Frappuccino, a Chocolate Hazelnut Cookie Cold Brew, and new Valentine Cake Pop will be available beginning February 4.
Yeah, we're definitely going to have to adjust those New Year's resolutions.
