Subway Debuts New Footlong Oreo Cookie
Starting on Thursday, Jan. 30, fans can order a 12-in. chocolate cookie topped with vanilla cream and Oreo pieces
An iconic sandwich cookie is now a sandwich side.
On Thursday, Jan. 30, Subway announced its latest footlong treat: the Oreo footlong cookie. The limited-time chocolatey menu item is available nationwide on the same day as the announcement.
The $5 dessert is not exactly a 12-in. version of the chocolate biscuits and cream filling. Instead, the sandwich chain adds Oreo pieces to chocolate cookie dough and tops it with vanilla cream and more crushed Oreos.
In 2024, Subway expanded its footlong offerings from sandwiches to a slew of sides. The fast-casual restaurant introduced footlong cookies, Cinnabon churros, Auntie Anne's pretzels and meat and cheese wraps called Dippers.
Earlier this month, Subway announced a new daily deal. With the Meal of the Day, guests can spend either $6.99 on a 6-inch sub or grab a footlong for $9.99, getting their choice of two cookies or a bag of chips and a small fountain drink with the meal.

Wendy’s recently revealed its own cookie-inspired menu item. The fast food spot is blending with Girl Scouts of the USA to create the Thin Mints Frosty.
The treat was announced on Monday, Jan. 27, but will be available starting on Friday, Feb. 21.
Wendy’s is combining a minty-chocolatey swirl — described as having a “crumbly, cookie butter-esque texture,” per a press release — with either the vanilla or chocolate Frosty to recreate the chocolatey-minty patties.
