Sydney Sweeney Trades Pants for Sparkly Hot Pants Over Tights

Why wear pants when you can wear sequined white briefs over black tights instead? This is the question Sydney Sweeney asked all of us to ponder at Paris Fashion Week. On March 5 the Anyone but You actor attended the Miu Miu show in Paris, where she took the no-pants trend to sparkling new levels.

Sweeney wore her sparkly hot pants with a black V-neck crop top that featured white trim with rough hems, to match the rough white trim on her oversized black blazer. She completed the look with a pair of on-trend narrow black sunglasses, a quilted velvet handbag (also in black), and sky-high peep-toe platforms with an ankle strap.

Interestingly, Sweeney appears to have gone jewelry-free with this look, letting the textured sequins on her briefs share bling duties with her subtle manicure. She kept her glam equally understated, with a nude lip and gently tousled bedhead hair.

The no-pants movement in fashion has been led by the likes of Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber, who have all traded traditional bottoms for underwear on various occasions as of late. Kylie Jenner has even been seen in a similar briefs-over-tights look. The pantsless torch has also been taken up by millennial icons such as Anne Hathaway and even Beyoncé herself.

It was only a matter of time before Sydney Sweeney followed their lead and went bottoms up.
