Taylor Swift Fans Rushed to Defend Travis Kelce as His ‘Supportive Boyfriend’ Status Was Questioned

Just as jumbotrons captured Taylor Swift's every move at Travis Kelce's football games, the NFL player has countless camera phones pointed in his direction whenever he attends the Eras Tour.

Most recently one of these videos caused a bit of a disagreement among Swifties. Apparently, flying to Singapore for back-to-back concerts wasn't “supportive” enough for one fan, who appeared to chastise the 34-year-old Kansas City Chiefs player for looking at his phone during “I Knew You Were Trouble,” sarcastically captioning their footage, “It's giving supportive bf.”

Though the original TikTok video may have been deleted, TMZ shared the Singapore concert clip on March 8, along with screen shots of fans rallying to defend the tight end in the comments. One fan claimed that this was “literally the only time I’ve ever seen a phone in his hand,” while another replied to the video with an eye-roll emoji, writing, “Cause she never picked up her phone during a Chiefs game 🙄 I think they're fine.”

Other fans sighted the long length of the concert and gave Kelce points for “still dancing” while checking his phone. “Very few people go without glancing at their phone for 4 hours at a time, leave him be 😭,” one fan pointed out.

Of course, this wasn't the only video of Kelce taken during the concert. One fan captured the NFL player's reaction to Swift's shout-out during “Karma,” while another fan caught Kelce yelling “hey” at just the right moment in “Bad Blood.” The football player was also seen trading friendship bracelets with fans and just generally having a great time.

Luckily, the couple were able to squeeze in some time together outside of Swift's concert schedule. After being spotted by fans on a casual mall date the previous day, the pair stepped things up a notch for dinner at Singapore's Koma restaraunt. In one fan-filmed video, Kelce holds Swift's hand in the same ’fit he wore to her show on March 8. Meanwhile, she wore a floral maxidress, which was a much different vibe than her postshow sweatshirt and denim shorts look from earlier in the week.

Following her final Singapore concert on March 9, Taylor Swift will have two months off before her next string of performances in Paris. While she'll obviously be promoting her upcoming album, The Tortured Poets Department for most of that time, Swifties can probably expect to see a lot more of Traylor once they're both Stateside.
