Ten C, Awake NY Capsule Aims to Capture the Spirit of ‘90s New York

Outerwear company Ten C is linking with streetwear-inflected Awake NY for a three-piece capsule collection intended to exalt the spirit of ‘90s New York City.

The brands created two signature Ten C pieces, the anorak and utilitarian drawstring pants, in an edgy camouflage reinterpretation nodding to Manhattan’s rocky soil. They are crafted from crinkled nylon patchwork and Ten C’s Original Japanese Jersey, or OJJ, textile. The collection was designed by the Italian brand’s creative director Alessandro Pungetti and Awake NY’s founder Angelo Baque.

“We worked together on this project to make it authentically global and to combine the two brands’ DNAs, strongly rooted in their respective cultural backgrounds and souls,” Pungetti said.

The limited-edition range, complemented by a cotton jersey T-shirt, is available in two colorways, acid and olive green, at both brands’ online stores, as well as select retailers. It sells between 140 euros for the T-shirt and 695 euros for the anorak.
