Tessa Virtue delivers '90s glam' for opening night at TIFF: 'So beautiful!'
Tessa Virtue knows she's a Canadian fashion icon.
On Thursday evening, the 33-year-old attended the opening night of the Toronto International Film Festival, and fans are loving her latest look.
The figure skater walked the red carpet in a textured, beige midi dress with a turtleneck. Virtue paired the frock with grey stilettos and a white and grey handbag.
For hair and makeup, the former Olympian opted for an elegant up-do, glossy pink lips, and gold eye shadow.
On her Instagram story, Virtue gave her 430,000 followers an inside look at her evening, showing off her glam in action.
"Opening night!" she wrote over a video of herself posing in front of a Nespresso-sponsored backdrop.
The hairstylist responsible for Virtue's gorgeous up-do, Kelly Araujo, took to Instagram to show off the athlete's final look.
"It’s Tiff-ing season! Fun glam today on the always radiant Tessa Virtue," Araujo captioned the post, along with the hashtag "90s glam."
In the comments, fans praised Virtue's beauty team for their "beautiful" work.
"This is the best look I've ever seen on her. So beautiful," an Instagram user commented. "The up-do is everything. I'm here for the 90s glam!"
Another fan added: "Stunning!"
"This is my favourite look ever," someone else wrote.
"Ugh, so beautiful!" a follower chimed in.
"I love how soft the makeup is. It's giving natural beauty," commented another.
Earlier this week, the ice dancer garnered praise for a more casual look. On Wednesday, Virtue shared a series of sun-soaked photos on Instagram of her performing pull-ups in an outdoor park.
She broke a sweat wearing mint and lime green Adidas leggings with a matching sports bra, complete with a mesh long sleeve and black sneakers.
"This one just HITTS different," she quipped in the caption, referring to HIIT — high intensity interval training. "I’ve always loved HIIT workouts, and lately I’ve enjoyed taking them outdoors."
"Of course, it’s always better in three stripes," she added, referencing the three stripes in the iconic Adidas logo.
