One of them put this set to the ultimate test by taking them on "several international trips" over 18 months, and they were pleasantly surprised. "They are holding up well [after] being tossed around at airports," they wrote. "Perfect size even for a month-long [trip]."
"Took it to Malaysia and will go to Japan after, then back home," another reviewer said. "The handles are very stable and it's slightly more lightweight compared to the other Costco version. It's very clean in appearance."
One longtime Samsonite decided to replace their soft-sides with this tougher option for more protection. "I bought Samsonite due to warranty [and] cost," they explained. "I would recommend this set not only due to the cost [and] brand but also how the luggage is arranged [on the] inside. It is also great that the carry-on fits inside the larger for storage."

Amid all the raves, there were a few quibbles. To wit, shared one reviewer: "Wish the instructions to set the code had been easier to find," the reviewer shared.
Some customers claimed that these got roughed-up more easily than expected, but didn't consider that a deal-breaker since the hard-sided exterior gave them peace of mind. "They had some scratches on them, but nothing broke," one of them said.
