Whenever I get a new fiddle-leaf fig or monstera, my first priority is finding a stylish planter for it. This way, not only do I add more greenery to my home, but I also introduce a little extra decor at the same time. However, creating the perfect setup can get expensive. That’s why I always check Trader Joe’s first to see what affordable plant finds they have. Recently, the grocer brought back a popular succulent gem that shoppers (including myself!) are racing to buy.

@Traderjoesobsessed, an Instagram digital creator who shares the latest finds from Trader Joe’s, recently posted about this Wine Bottle Succulent, writing, “The beautiful wine bottle succulents are back at Trader Joe’s $12.99.”

So, what exactly is a wine bottle succulent? It’s exactly what it sounds like: a wine bottle cut to create an opening, then filled with soil and various colorful succulents in different shapes and sizes.

Shoppers could not contain their excitement about these wine bottle succulents. One person said, “What a cute centerpiece,” and another user mentioned, “Yes and they last long too.”

As the Trader Joe’s website calls out, “With their fairly hands-off maintenance, succulents may just be the optimal plants for gardeners on the go.” So, if you don’t have a green thumb, succulents could be a perfect starter plant for you, as they don’t require a lot of care or attention. According to the grocer, succulents thrive in bright indoor light or full to partial sun outdoors. They only need to be watered once a week, or when the soil feels dry.

Trader Joe’s succulent wine bottles have traditionally sold out quickly, so if you spot one, grab one (or two!) before it’s gone.
