When PSL, or Pumpkin Spice Latte, season comes around, grocery shelves fill up with all kinds of products with this festive flavor. One staple people can’t get enough of? Pumpkin spice coffee creamer. And thanks to a recent viral Instagram clip, it turns out you can blend up a batch of it right at home.

The hack, posted by countless creators on social media, involves using a classic pantry staple: canned pumpkin purée.

To assemble this fall-inspired coffee creamer, one creator, Nicole Modic, posted a recipe that involves blending together five simple ingredients: half-and-half, pumpkin purée (which you can find for nearly $1 online), pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract, and maple syrup. The best part? It only takes about a minute to pull together.

Modic recommends swapping the traditional half-and-half for a vegan version if you typically enjoy your lattes with plant-based milk, too. Coffee enthusiasts were amazed at how easy it is to make this popular creamer at home. One person commented, “I just made this, and it is amazing! Thank you.” Another user mentioned, “Oh, this is a must-try!!”

Modic’s recipe makes about five servings, and according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, you can store this pumpkin creamer in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. That way, you can upgrade your homemade latte whenever you need a pick-me-up and want to save some coins. Keep in mind that if you really love the pumpkin flavor, you can toss this pumpkin creamer into iced chais or protein shakes, too.
