Upscale cocktail bar with intercontinental cuisine and wine coming to Lexington
A new upscale cocktail bar will soon be opening in the middle of downtown Lexington.
3TEN, a bar-focused establishment led by celebrated-chef Jonathan Lundy and certified sommelier TJ Cox, will open at 310 W. Short St. in the fall of 2024 into the former location of Creaux.
3TEN will feature a cocktail list of over 30 drinks deep, intercontinental cuisine and wine from regions around the world six nights a week.
“For me, inspiration comes from bearing witness to each guest’s interaction and recognizing the hands that prepared it. Blending hospitality and culture drives me to create unique and memorable experiences as I continue to search for the perfect pairing,” Cox said in a press release.
3TEN will have a rotating menu of small plates and shareable dishes, featuring ingredients of Mediterranean, pan-Asian, and Latin American origins.
“I’m going in a lot of different directions and enjoying the freedom of not being glued to a specific concept. There’s so much I want to do to make it interesting, fun, and playful,” Lundy said in a press release.
Cox and Lundy have over 55 years of combined experience in Lexington restaurants. They both worked at Roy and Nadine’s, which can be credited with inspiring the 3TEN concept. The duo have worked together on a number of restaurant projects, including consulting with Coba Cocina, opening Corto Lima, developing ItalX and forming Locations Restaurant Group.
The 3TEN bar will bookend Corto Lima, an award-winning, pan-Latin themed-restaurant at the corner of W. Short Street and N. Limestone.
3TEN will move into the former location of Creaux, a restaurant known for its jazzy vibe and Creole flavor. Co-owners Ieasha and Dougie Allen and Stephen Scaldaferri put the building up for sale in May for $1.35 million.
In February Ieasha and Dougie Allen unveiled their plans to open a new private dining club with bar at 144 N. Broadway.
