'Bachelor' alum Vanessa Grimaldi shares 'beautiful' look into postpartum life in adult diaper
Vanessa Grimaldi is getting honest about postpartum life.
On Sunday, the 35-year-old "Bachelor" season 21 winner took to Instagram with an intimate, black-and-white video, wearing a black bralette and adult diaper. In the clip, Grimaldi held her newborn son, Winston Franco Wolfe, whom she welcomed on Sept. 29 with her husband, Joshua Wolfe.
She shared the video along with an audio clip of someone saying, "A mother is a son's first true love. A son — especially their first son — is a mother's last."
The Canadian reality star paired the video with a caption opening up about how she loves her postpartum look.
"My fav outfit I've ever worn to date," she penned to her more than 715,000 followers. "My postpartum look: Greasy hair, adult diapers, chapped lips, a glowing smile, love in my eyes, a beaming heart and a body that gave me the most beautiful gift, my baby boy."
She added that she has never been more "grateful, more proud and more confident in my skin," before thanking her body "for all that you can do and continue to do. For all that you know to do."
Grimaldi's candid post was quickly met with supportive comments and praise for sharing the adorable mother-son moment.
"This is beautiful! Thank you for sharing. And thank you for your honesty," one Instagram user commented. "This look needs to be normalized 'cause it is the reality for most new moms!"
"Women don't often show this side of postpartum. Confident queen," added another.
One fan called Grimaldi's video, "one of the realest posts" they've ever seen.
"Thank you for being so real! Congratulations!" another commented.
"You're so amazing because not many women will admit this normalcy. So many women make us feel like we can't be who we really are. You're so beautiful, thank you for this," someone wrote.
Earlier this month, the Montreal native shared another intimate Instagram Reel with her fans, marking her son's first seven days of life. The video — paired with a caption written from her son's perspective — shows footage of Grimaldi and her husband holding their two dogs before heading to the hospital, moments after welcoming their first child, as well as taking him home for the first time.
"Hello, world. My name is Winston Franco Wolfe and I was born on Sept. 29, 2022," Grimaldi wrote. "I decided to make my grand entrance a day before mommy’s birthday (she can't stop crying after watching this video [by the way]). Maybe I should poop the bed again to distract her.
"Anyway, this is a little reel of my first seven days with mommy, daddy, Tyson and Vito! I can't wait to flood your feed with all my photos of outfits that mommy will dress me in and that daddy selected. Expect them to be colourful! See you soon."
