Venus ventures through Scorpio from Sept. 22 until Oct. 17, 2024, a period that PEOPLE's resident astrologer Kyle Thomas says "will surely be memorable!"

During this time, Venus — the planet of love, pleasure and beauty — will become submerged within Scorpio, which Thomas predicts will cause us to feel "intimacy" with others on "the greatest levels." He says who we "trust" and "value" will be "top of mind" throughout the period.

While we are likely to "hunger for union" when Venus transits Scorpio, Thomas points out that this planet is also known to be "in her detriment" when it's in this particular zodiac sign. "This means that it takes on a much different energy than it's normally used to," he explains.

"Venus is an archetype that loves intimacy and closeness," notes Thomas, adding that it's typically known for being "softer and sweeter instead of fiery and intense." However, he says "this all changes" when the planet roars into the seas of Scorpio."

"Superficial relations will not interest us and casual flirtations or dalliances will be incredibly unsatisfying," Thomas puts forth. "Hookups or whirlwind romances will end up triggering frustration, anger, resentment or revenge rather than fulfillment."

Since Scorpio is classified as a Fixed Water sign and symbolized by the Scorpion, Thomas says it's possible our emotions may become "intense and rigid" as Venus makes its way through — but at the same time, he says we may get "a chance for rebirth in our relationships," too.

This is because Scorpio is also symbolized by the phoenix, which Thomas says could "allow us to release traumas or heartbreaks from the past." He adds, "The highest evolution of the Scorpio spirit is the eagle when we take everything we’ve learned and soar once again."

Your finances might also be impacted during this transit with "an opportunity to improve your assets or investments." Thomas says, "Wealth may flourish!"

Taurus (April 20 to May 20)

Venus is your planetary ruler, Taurus, so prepare for it to be swimming across the sky from you! "It may bring opportunities for union, commitment or camaraderie," Thomas puts forth.

"All relationship matters should improve, especially if already committed," he adds. "If single, look for someone with longterm potential. A powerful connection could align with you now."

Gemini (May 21 to June 20)

It’s time to find the right work-life balance, Gemini. Relations with coworkers, staff or clients could be flourishing during the Venus in Scorpio transit.

If looking to collaborate or take on more work-related projects, Thomas says "luck is on your side." If you are out of work, he suggests you "use this time to find something that fits your skills ... Hiring managers may work in your favor."

Cancer (June 21 to July 22)

You are entering "one of the most important periods of the year" for romance, Cancer. Prepare to make the most of it.

"Singles must use this period to line up prospective suitors and find someone who understands you," Thomas says. "A soulmate could soon cross your path."

If already in a committed relationship, Thomas says "you can use this energy to have more fun with that special someone." If you have children or are looking to conceive, he says "harness all of this cosmic glow" for good luck!

Leo (July 23 to Aug. 22)

As Venus moves through your domestic sector, Thomas says "you’ll catch positive vibes with friends, family and in your sacred space." If seeking to grow closer with your kindred, he advises to take advantage of this energy.

Virgo (Aug. 23 to Sept. 22)

Prepare for your words and ideas to enchant everyone at this time, Virgo! "This will allow you to captivate absolutely anyone," predicts Thomas.

"If you wish to take a mini vacation, travel could fan the flames of love," he says. "You may now also debut a milestone writing, speaking, advertising or communications-related project that's greeted with applause."

Pisces (Feb. 19 to March 20)
