Welcome to January, Virgo. During December, your ruling planet, Mercury, went direct, and Mars retrograde offered a chance at spiritual growth. Mars is retrograde through the end of February. This period is sometimes associated with drops in libidos; however, it offers chances to deepen relationships in other ways. On Thursday, January 2, Vesta, an astrologically significant asteroid that rules sacred sexuality, moves into erotic Scorpio. As this affects your communicative 3rd House, early January sees you having important conversations with those closest to you with the purpose of advancing the relationship.
This theme is reiterated on Friday, January 3, when loving Venus enters Pisces and your 7th House of Partnership. If you're dating someone new, you could see that relationship deepening in early January. And, if you're in a long-term partnership, you surprise yourself by realizing that the relationship can grow even more intimate, even if it's been going on for years.
Meanwhile, in early 2025, Mars retrograde may impact your friendships. On Monday, January 6, Mars retrograde shifts into Cancer and your 11th House of Friendship. This could lead to potential misunderstandings with friends. We may feel a little paranoid, like we're in high school and worried that people are talking behind our backs.
