WandaVision spoilers follow.

A Marvel fan has spotted a touching tribute to Stan Lee in the latest WandaVision episode.

The Disney+ TV spin-off aired its seventh episode on Friday (19 February), and viewers discovered that Westview resident Agnes (Kathyrn Hahn) is actually Marvel witch Agatha Harkness, who's been pulling all the strings from behind the scenes all along.

However, as noticed by one fan on Twitter, the episode also included another big moment as the opening credits featured a tribute to Marvel legend Stan Lee, who died in November 2018.

In this week's opening credits sequence, the name 'Wanda' was seen in a variety of different ways, including once as a number plate that featured Wanda's name alongside the numbers 122822.

As expertly derived by one fan on Twitter, the numbers actually represent Stan Lee's birthday — December 28, 1922.

Aww.

The touching Easter egg follows the confirmation that Captain Marvel 2 will feature another superhero.

WandaVision episode 7 saw Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) re-enter the Hex and transform into her superhero-self; a character currently known as Spectrum.

Parris's involvement in Captain Marvel 2 was confirmed last year but Monica has yet to use her powers in the series.

With just two episodes of season 1 remaining, can Monica help save Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and the other Westview residents from Agatha's Sparky-murdering clutches?

WandaVision is streaming on Disney+, with new episodes every Friday
