These winners wowed our experts and came out on top in each of their categories.

Our team of shopping pros has one job here at Yahoo: to ensure you're not wasting your hard-earned money on subpar products. That's why we spend the bulk of our time testing (and re-testing) products across categories (it's a tough job, we know). From food storage containers that actually keep things fresh to a less-than-$100 pair of AirPods alternatives, here are 10 products that impressed our experts this week — so much that they've won the title of "best" in each of their respective categories.

Size: 12"D x 16.5"W x 12.25"H | Capacity: 6 quarts | Power: 1800 watts | Max temp: 450°F | Style: Single-basket | Functions: Air fry, roast, bake, broil or warm | Care: Dishwasher-safe basket and tray

Topping our list is this partially stainless-steel-brushed air fryer from Cuisinart. This versatile model boasts substantial cooking room, minimal required maintenance and an easy-to-master learning curve, all while looking non-clunky. (Dare we say, sleek?)

The air fryer comes pre-assembled, so there's no setup required — simply ensure the inner tray is secure, plug in the device, and you're ready to go. We found the accompanying instructions to be intuitive, and there's a variety of recipes included for added convenience.

A bright LED interface displays five functions — air fry, roast, bake, broil and warm — for a variety of cooking methods, along with five presets for taking the guesswork out of foods that don't come with air-frying instructions. (The "toss reminder" proved handy when we tested larger batches.)

We assessed the air fry function by making french fries, breaded chicken tenders, chicken wings and crab rangoons, using package instructions and the "frozen" preset where there were none, and everything came out right on time in juicy-on-the-inside, crispy-on-the-outside fashion.

We were particularly impressed that the crab rangoons stayed intact, retaining all (or at least most) of their filling. While air-frying was the main focus of our test, we also tried our hands at several other functions: Our roasted chicken breasts, baked salmon and broiled steaks cooked to perfection.

The air fryer handle remained cool to the touch and the basket is dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning. We also appreciated the clear panel and interior light for monitoring foods, especially helpful when we were cooking meals in low lighting (and, er, late-night snacking).

Sunday Riley's products are almost uniformly best-in-class and this extremely hydrating, almost instantly/magically depuffing serum is no exception. It's packed with caffeine, ginseng and the anti-oxidant lutein. We found it to be nearly scent-free which makes it a great option for sensitive skin. The texture is silky and it both brightens dark circles and absorbs quickly, leaving behind a dewy glow we found pleasant. One downside is the absence of retinol, which means it's not helping to build collagen in the area. Still, it's a high-quality cream that works well in a rotation, along with my second favorite from RoC.

  • High-quality ingredients
  • Lightweight formula absorbs fast
  • Effectively brightens and depuffs undereye area
  • Silky texture
  • Ultra-hydrating
Cons
  • On the higher end, price-wise
  • Doesn't contain retinol

Portable: Yes | Supports multi-speaker pairing: Yes | Weatherproofing: IPX7 | Rated battery life: 30 hours | Ports: USB-C | Connectivity: Bluetooth | Special features: LED lighting effects; power bank

This speaker has everything you want from a portable Bluetooth speaker: It’s easily portable (thanks, '80s-boom-box-style handle), has incredible battery life (up to 30 hours, which blows away the competition) and boasts excellent sound that, in our testing, handily beat Sonos in outdoor environments.

The StormBox Blast comes ready to party: It's IPX7-rated water resistant and therefore weather resistant (meaning you could literally submerge it and it would keep playing) and outfitted with color-changing LEDs that bounce in time with the music. A clearly marked button on the control panel toggles between two lighting modes and no lighting at all.

This speaker is basically a party source in a package: The Blast's battery has so much capacity, you can use it to charge your phone, your party lights — or another other device that needs a charge. There's a USB-C port tucked away inside the rear panel, which means more battery life for all of your devices.

Sizes: 5 to 12 | Colors: 21 | Type of shoe: Sneakers

When we polled staffers about the best Hokas they've ever tried, there was a resounding winner: the Cliftons. "They're absolutely cloud-like," raved Yahoo Deputy Editor Izabella Zaydenberg. "They were the only shoes that didn't exacerbate my plantar fasciitis (especially when I walked for hours at Disneyland)."

Rebecca Carhart, Yahoo fashion and beauty writer, said she wears them every time she goes for a long walk — be it on the treadmill, a trail or around town. "The cushioned sneakers are undoubtedly the most comfortable walking shoe I've ever tried, and I loved that there was no break-in time," Carhart noted.

Our editors also found the knit upper to be breathable, and the rubber sole provided great traction. "While they're definitely a little bulky, they're still really lightweight and comfortable enough for all-day wear," Zaydenberg said. The sneakers come in regular and GTX (waterproof) styles and both regular and wide sizes — helpful since Zaydenberg found them a bit narrow. And they come in a wide range of colors, so it's easy to find a favorite style (or two).

Material: 18/8 stainless steel | Cap: Standard mouth, Wide mouth, Flex straw or Flex chug | Volume: 24, 32, 40 or 64 ounces

We tested over 100 water bottles (we're passionate about what we do!) and Hydro Flask Insulated Water Bottle topped our list as the absolute best water bottle of 2024. It offers resilience, practicality and — thanks to numerous cap and capacity options — customization.

The pliable loop on the cap made for agile carrying, while the Flex straw option provided quick access to water. The double-wall vacuum insulation kept our drinks cold for the promised 24 hours, and the entire water bottle proved dishwasher safe — making it easy to clean.

Our home writer, Kristin Granero, has owned and used Hydro Flask Insulated Water Bottles for several years and, despite countless drops and washing cycles, found that it remains leakproof and still looks like new, with no chipping or fading.

  • Insulated
  • Spill-proof
  • Dishwasher-safe
  • Wide shade/lid selection

Texture: Gel | Size: 8 ounces | Skin Type: Oily, combination, dry, normal | Key ingredients: Kale, spinach, green tea, alfalfa, vitamin C, vitamin E

Our beauty editor's first reponse upon testing this face wash was anger. "I got mad at myself for taking so long to try it!" she said. "Now, I use it almost every day."

It works extremely well to remove makeup (especially black liquid liner and mascara) — so well, in fact, that we found it sometimes unnecessary to have to double cleanse. On the ingredients side, it’s chock-full of superfood antioxidants that provide all kinds of good stuff, like protection from free radicals and increasing hydration. At about $40, it can be pricey for some, but it’s lasted me a long time, heavy eyeliner and all. A couple of pumps go a long way.

Size: 16.3 x 21 x 18.6 in. (12.4 x 13.4-in. cooking surface) | Weight: 44 lbs. | Fuel type: Wood and gas | Warranty: 1 year; 5 years with registration

The Gozney Roccbox is a futuristic-looking pizza oven pod that strikes an impressive balance between performance and convenience. “Its dual-fuel compatibility (gas and wood) offers flexibility, and the built-in thermometer ensures accurate temperature control. I use it both at home and during outdoor events like barbecues and picnics. The quick preheating and easy cleanup make it ideal for spontaneous pizza nights," says Craig Agranoff, founder and editor-in-chief of WorstPizza.com. “It’s also portable, which makes it incredibly versatile.”

We tested the Roccbox and can attest to its convenience (it came fully assembled, was quick to start and fired up in about 15 minutes) and versatility (for a smaller oven, it still has enough room to cook a 12-inch pizza, as well as other food items, though we’d advise using a pan for messier sauces and meats). Retractable legs are convenient — and safe — for propping the oven on a table or taking it on the go.

The oven has a special coating that keeps it from scorching (we were able to touch it lightly without burning our fingers, though as with any hot device, you’ll want to heed caution) and it’s sold in four finishes — from bright Olive to bold Black, including a special-edition Ranger green shade. Each Roccbox comes with a detachable gas burner and a professional pizza peel (worth $85), adding to its overall value.

  • No setup required
  • Protective coating
  • Multi-fuel / cooks other foods
  • Peel included

Cleaning modes: Clean, soft, whitening and massage | Battery life: Up to two months

This Aquasonic electric toothbrush is so popular, it’s a top-seller on Amazon. One of our editors has been using it for a few months now and found that one charge can last up to a full month — so there's no need to keep the charging pad out on the bathroom vanity all the time.

The toothbrush is equipped with a powerful motor that provides 40,000 vibrations per minute, which left our tester's mouth feeling extra clean after every use.

We also found the two-minute timer (to ensure users meet the recommended brush time) surprisingly helpful. There are four cleaning modes to choose from: clean, soft, whitening and massage, and it comes with eight brush heads.

ANC: Yes | Touch controls: Yes | Ear detection: No | Multipoint connectivity: Yes | Case charging: USB-C | Waterproof rating: IPX6 | Max battery life: 8 hours on a charge | Ear tips included: 3 sizes

Baseus has crafted amazingly good earbuds with a price tag that's even more amazing: just $40, and often on sale for even less. They may not rival AirPods in terms of noise-canceling power or phone-call quality, but they sound great and promise even better battery life.

In our testing we found they fit snugly and comfortably with the medium-size ear tips and hooks that came already installed. (Other sizes are included for those with larger or smaller ears.)

The charging case is on the large side, and therefore not very pocket-friendly. It doesn't support wireless charging, either — only USB-C — but it can recharge the earbuds more than 16 times before needing to be recharged itself. And the earbuds last up to eight hours, meaning you're looking at nearly 140 total hours of playtime.

The Bowie MA10s produce rich and well-balanced sound, maybe not quite as full-bodied as AirPods, but extremely good overall. And if you're one who likes to fiddle with sound settings, the Baseus companion app provides 12 equalizer presets and lets you create multiple custom ones.
