Where to find free fireworks displays in the Fort Worth area to celebrate Fourth of July
The Fourth of July is right around the corner, and North Texas will have plenty to offer pyrotechnics fans.
On July 2, 1776, the Continental Congress voted in favor of independence and signed the Declaration of Independence two days later. The Fourth of July has been a federal holiday since 1941.
America is celebrating 248 years of nationhood, and North Texas is raring to jump in on the celebration with firework spectaculars and festivals. Here’s where to celebrate the Fourth of July in the Fort Worth area:
Fort Worth
The 17th annual Fort Worth’s Fourth is back at Panther Island Pavilion on July 4.
Patrons will have plenty of room at the pavilion and Trinity River banks to watch the night sky explode with pyrotechnics. Festival food, drinks, kids’ activities and live music will keep the crowd entertained before the fireworks show starts at 9:30 p.m.
Several parking lots will be open, along with bike racks for those taking the Trinity Trails to the pavilion. Lawn chairs and blankets are allowed at the event, but any outside food and beverages are not.

Arlington
Light Up Arlington will brighten the downtown sky on June 29.
Residents can expect vendors, food trucks and live music across four different stages at the event. Concerts start at 6 p.m. outside the Arlington Music Hall and Grease Monkey, at 6:30 p.m. by City Tower at 101 S. Mesquite St. and 7 p.m. at the Levitt Pavilion Arlington.
The family-friendly event will also feature more than a dozen food trucks and a bubble bus. The fireworks display, which will blast off from the roof of City Tower, lasts about 20 minutes and starts at 9:50 p.m.

On July 4, the annual Arlington Independence Day parade through downtown at 9 a.m.
Starting near a University of Texas at Arlington parking lot off West Mitchell Street and South Oak Street, the parade route goes north on Spaniolo Drive, makes a circle near City Hall and returns back on South Center Street.

Haltom City
The Northeast Tarrant Chamber of Commerce is once again hosting the Family 4th event in Haltom City.
Families are encouraged to attend the event, which will feature kids’ activities, food trucks and a jazz orchestra concert. Fireworks can be viewed from the parking lots of Wiley G. Thomas Coliseum, 6108 Broadway Ave., and Birdville ISD’s plaza at 6351 Boulevard 26.
No outdoor cooking devices, alcohol or personal fireworks are permitted at the event. Only chairs and blankets are allowed on-site.

Weatherford
Weatherford will celebrate Independence Day with Spark in the Park.
The Eli Young Band is headlining the event at the Heritage Park amphitheater. Before the band lights up the stage, Texas Clearwater Revival will open the event at 6 p.m.
Over a dozen food vendors are lined up for the event, along with kid’s water slides. The fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.

Hudson Oaks
Elsewhere in Parker County, Hudson Oaks will host its Boomin’ 4th event.
Families will find a food court at the event, live music from Party Machine and kids’ play area. Lawn chairs and coolers are welcome, but grilling or outdoor cookware are not.
Fireworks get underway from Gene Voyles Park at 9:30 p.m.

White Settlement
White Settlement kicks off its summer celebration on June 29 with its annual fireworks show.
Food vendors and activities will be available at Veterans Park, before the fireworks get started at 9:45 p.m.

Hurst
The annual Stars and Stripes event is back in Hurst on July 3.
Families can enjoy live music from Grady Spencer & the Work and Professor D and food trucks at the event. The firework show starts at 9:30 p.m.

Burleson
Burleson will host Red, White & BTX on July 4.
The event starts at 5 p.m. and features live music, food trucks and fireworks. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome, but alcohol and personal fireworks are not.
Before the evening festivities, Burleson’s Lions Club is hosting a parade through the city at 9 a.m.

Mansfield
The Mansfield Rocks event will take place on July 3.
Guests can bring lawn chairs and blankets, but no coolers, grills or pets are allowed. Fireworks are scheduled for 9 p.m. near Heritage Parkway and National Parkway behind Hawaiian Falls and the Mansfield Sports Park.
