Woman Refuses to Attend Her Sister’s Wedding to a 'Complete Stranger'
A woman wrote on Reddit was shocked when her "serial dater" sister asked her to attend a wedding to a groom she knew nothing about

The woman revealed in a recent post on Reddit's "Am I the A------?" forum, that her sister is getting ready to walk down the aisle, but she doesn’t agree with the couple’s decision to tie the knot.
The 26-year-old woman, under the username Valuable-Response992, explained that her 33-year-old sister texted her asking her to take off a day work in early March, and when the original poster asked why, her sister replied: “‘I'm getting married.’"
The woman added that “ever since birth,” her sister has been a “serial dater.” Noting, “Almost every time I see her she has a new boyfriend... she hasn't introduced me to anyone recently so seeing this text is quite a shock.”

Stock image of a bride and groom standing together outside a churchAs the younger sister continued, she revealed that the bride told her she “was dating a guy in a different state, but they just broke up.” Adding, “So if she is getting married, I'm 90% sure that it is probably going to be with a complete stranger.”
The Reddit user admitted she doesn’t want “to be a part of it at all.”
“I just started school, I've been working a lot, I really don't want to support my sister's dumb decisions,” she wrote. “Especially when I know that she hasn't known this dude for long. At the end of the day I am just scared of her getting hurt or used.”

Several Reddit users wrote in the forum telling the original poster, “You’re The A------.”
“YTA, take off a crappy day in March and celebrate your sister’s happy day, short-lived or not. She wants you there,” one wrote. Another added, “It's about supporting the person not the decision.”
“YTA. Maybe it’s a mistake, maybe not. But it’s your sister’s mistake to make,” read another response.
Meanwhile, a couple of Reddit users responded in support of the original poster. “NAH. Let's say it's a bad decision. She gets to make a bad decision. She just asked you to be there, you politely declined. That's ok,” wrote one user.
