Zendaya Layered a Completely Sheer Bedazzled Skirt Over Her Underwear

Another fashion take on white briefs.

With Kristen Stewart's jock-strap-clad Rolling Stone cover and Zendaya's latest style move, it's clear that men's underwear is having a fashion moment. The Challengers star has done a full 180 from her sci-fi Dune: Part 2 press tour and embracing sporty spice vibes for Challengers, the super-sexy tennis drama she's starring in from director Luca Guadagnino.

Just yesterday, she wore a plunging green Loewe dress with the silhouette of a tennis player, and today, she's continuing the main-character dressing with a creation from the most tennis brand we can think of: Lacoste. Her stylist, Law Roach, shared the outfit on his Instagram Stories, showcasing a tennis-net-inspired skirt over a pair of menswear-style white briefs, complete with a Y-front fly and striped elastic waist.

Roach tagged Lacoste creative director Pelagia Kolotouros in his posts, which showed Zendaya in the shimmering, bedazzled mesh skirt — which, of course, had the French brand's signature crocodile logo. She paired it with a racer-back sports bra with glittery trim that matched the blingy embellishment on the skirt. Bvlgari jewels and a pair of pointy heels that are definitely not court-approved finished the look, and she pulled her honey-blonde curls into a messy updo for the event.

While she has a Disney Channel pedigree and has won numerous awards for her role as a high schooler on Euphoria, Zendaya's ready to grow up. Speaking to Elle, she said that understands that she can't play young characters forever.

“From a character perspective, I want to find things that will push me,” she said. “As I get older, you know, I can’t play a teenager for the rest of my life.” She adds that she sees Challengers as her "first time really being a leading lady, if you will."

“I felt like it was a good step into a more, I guess you could say, ‘grown-up’ role and into that next phase,” she explained. “It was a little bit scary to take on, which I think is a good feeling. To be like, ‘Ooh, can I do this?’ You could run from that feeling and stay safe and comfortable, or you can go, ‘You know what, fuck it.’”
