Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott's Famous Friends and Costars React to Engagement News
It's official, the engagement we've all been waiting for finally happened! After dating for a whopping four years, Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott took their first step toward tying the knot. The New Girl Star and her Property Brothers beau first met in 2019, just after Deschanel's divorce from Jason Pechenik, during filming for James Corden's "Carpool Karaoke."
Scott popped the question on a family trip to Scotland, where Jonathan's father is from. Both of Deschanel's children, Elsie (8) and Charlie (6), were a part of the special occasion.
Deschanel showed off her new ring, fitted with pink, purple, and clear stones placed to create a dazzling flower design, which matches her dual-toned pink manicure. The couple posed for a selfie in front of a breathtaking Scottish castle. "Forever starts now!!! 🥰♾️🥰," the actress captioned her post.
Fans are ecstatic to hear the good news though a few had bring in a few New Girl jokes per usual like, "Nick Miller crying in the corner" and "new girl got new boy 🔥 congratulations!"
Deschanel's New Girl co-stars Hannah Simone (Cece) wrote, "I LOVE YOU!! This is so wonderful 🇨🇦 ❤️," and Jake Johnson (Nick) said, "CONGRATS!!!!" The official Property Brothers Instagram account even commented "Welcome to the family, @zooeydeschanel!!" and Jonathan's brother Drew chimed in voicing his support for the union, "This makes me so happy❤️❤️," he said.
Home Town star Ben Napier wrote, "What!?!?! Oh my gosh, y’all! Congrats," and his wife, Erin, commented with heart emojis. Mindy Kaling commented with, "Omg!!! So amazing Zooey! Congrats!! ❤️" and "Courteney Cox chimed in with, "That’s so exciting! Deschanel and Scott first made an appearance as a couple sitting front row for a taping of Dancing With the Stars in 2019.
