While each gender deals with its own stereotypes, in America, men are often associated with things that are "tough" — but not all men connect with this identity (which is 100% okay — there's no such thing as what a man "should" and "shouldn't" be).
So when Reddit user Recent-Philosophy144 asked: "Guys of Reddit, what’s a stereotypically masculine thing that you couldn’t care less about?" over three thousand men shared their thoughts. Here are some of the top answers below:
1."Acting tough for no apparent reason."
"Getting into fights purely because your ego took a hit. I’ve seen two people die from hitting the deck after one punch. I’ve got a family at home. A complete stranger being angry at me is of no importance to me. And I’m more than happy to walk away from any situation."
2."This depends pretty heavily on your definition of masculinity, but I’ve never wanted to sleep around, have a high 'body count,' or any of that. I just want to find one woman who’s right for me and marry her."
