5 Most Destructive Dog Breeds, From Chewers to Diggers
Labradors, Beagles and Collies are among the destructive dog breeds most likely to cause chaos in your home, a new study has found.
Research conducted by money.co.uk analyzed opinions from pet owners, looking at the breeds which cause the most mayhem. From digging up flower beds to chewing furniture, these lovable pups have destructive tendencies that will keep their owners busy.
Staffordshire Bull Terriers were found to be the clumsiest breakers of the breeds, with one in 20 mentions of broken phones, plant pots and glasses involving them. Elsewhere, Labradors were most likely to go to the bathroom on the carpet, while Shih Tzus were found to commonly dig up flower beds.
"They bring us comfort, company and thousands of cute photo opportunities, but pets can also cause their fair share of utter chaos. From knocking over fragile decorations, through to leaving mud (and worse) all over our floors, rarely does a day go by where pet owners don't find something a little surprising," Money.co.uk explains.
"But for some animals, the chaos goes way beyond occasional accidents. We've scoured pet forums to work out the most destructive breeds of all. The damaging dogs who leave our homes in ruins, through to the catastrophic cats leaving us frantically checking our home insurance policies."
