Thom Browne's mostly made-of-muslin collection was one of the highlights of Haute Couture Fashion Week, but it turns out the designer had one more surprise in store.

See, the runway show kicked off with models engaged in a dramatic game of tug-of-war. At the time, we took it as a prelude to the Fall 2024 Haute Couture collection's athletic bent — however, it was actually a preview of a limited-edition High Summer 2024 capsule, available to shop now.

The capsule — which is being sold online, at select retail partners and in the brand's Miami, New York and South Coast Plaza stores — consists of 20 sportswear-inspired tonal and tailored pieces across women's and menswear. (Think Oxford shirts, sport coats, cardigans, trousers and eyewear.) Prices range from $420 for white sneakers to $4,250 for a lambskin jacket.

Thom Browne's take on High Summer is inspired by American sportswear from the 1920s and 1930s, marrying nostalgia with lightweight fabrics suitable for the time of year, mostly in shades of white.

It's the latest example of Browne — himself a college athlete and host of an annual brand-sponsored football game —  riffing on athleticwear. (The press release opens simply with: "... i made varsity ...") We may still be waiting to see the anatomical muscle dress off-runway, but this'll do for now.
