Bentley Created Four Bespoke Bentayga EWB Azures for the Peninsula Hong Kong
The Peninsula Hotel’s flagship has upgraded its fleet of chauffeured vehicles with a little help from Bentley.
After four bespoke Bentayga hybrids debuted at the Peninsula London earlier this year, the Hong Kong iteration of the hotel has followed suit by adding four custom extended-wheelbase Bentayga EWB Azure models to its lineup. The quartet was created as a collaborative effort between the Peninsula team and Bentley’s in-house bespoke and coachbuilding division to echo the iconic hotel’s history in their design.

You can see those nods to the Hong Kong through the exterior of each Bentayga: The cars are done up in a deep shade of Peninsula Green, a hue perfectly color-matched by Bentley’s paint shop. The verdant paint job continues through the matrix grills and bumpers to achieve a modern, color-blocked look. As for the interior, it’s adorned with supple saddle leather upholstery in a rich toffee finish. Its smooth handle is contrasted by textured beluga leather that runs across the door waistrails, the top of the dashboard, and the steering wheel. Tonal burr walnut accents enhance the interior’s warmth while providing a high-gloss touch.
And since the vehicles are meant to be an extension of the Peninsula’s comfortable accommodations, the fine details don’t stop there. To make every ride relaxed, the cabin is equipped with adjustable mood lighting and rear-seat entertainment (complemented by USB charging sockets) to pass the time between destinations. If one of those destinations happens to be in the countryside, the included picnic tables will make enjoying a meal alfresco that much more convenient.
Bentley’s Bentayag Azure was originally created to be among the premier SUVs on the road today, with a design focused on well-being. The Peninsula’s customized amenities serve to enhance that intention as they doubly represent the height of the marque’s handmade skills.
“It was a pleasure to present these four magnificent bespoke Bentaygas to the Hon. Sir Michael Kadoorie and the Peninsula Hong Kong,” said Frank-Steffen Walliser, chairman and chief executive officer of Bentley Motors. “The team of artisans at our Dream Factory in Crewe, England, which individually handcrafted and personalized these cars are rightly proud of the end result, and we are delighted that The Peninsula Hotels continues to adopt Bentleys into their chauffeur fleets.”
