The Duchess of Sussex, who has longtime been a skinny jeans or straight-leg jeans wearer, opted for the slightly flared style from Veronica Beard. She paired it with a navy crewneck sweater which appears to be by La Ligne, a greige jacket with a contrast collar by Dôen, and black Stuart Weitzman block-heel boots.
Hours later, Kendrick Lamar gave the performance of his life during the Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans—but it was his outfit arguably that stole the show. The Grammy-winning rapper took the stage wearing a varsity jacket paired with a bell bottom pair by Celine that has since gone viral on the internet. The jeans in question are called the Marco jeans, which are slender at the top and flared at the hem, and will set you back $1,200.
Of course, they aren’t the only two public figures donning the bootcut jeans recently. Jennifer Lopez, Reese Witherspoon, and Kate Middleton are some of the other stylish women who have been championing the divisive denim trend as of late. The revival of the bootcut jeans don’t come as a surprise either as ‘90s-era styles have been reigning supreme in the last couple of years.
